At twenty two, Noah Kahan has already found a lot of success in the crowded singer-songwriter field. Born and raised in a small town in Vermont, Kahan was signed to a record at the age of 18. After spending the next couple of years writing and recording, his songs started to connect in a big way on streaming services. Since then he has been able to tour with the likes of George Ezra and James Bay. He looks forward now to the release of his first album and a headlining tour of his own.
The first single from his debut album Busyhead is the pop anthemic “Mess.” On it we see Noah longing for his youth and a simpler time. One of Kahan’s strengths is connecting his story with the listener. So while we might not relate to the struggles of being a touring musician for the first time. Someone, for example, who has graduated college and heading off to start their own life will surely resonate with “Mess.”
